Caritas MJD Governance / Statues

The Board of Management (Directors)  of Cartias MJD  is an appointed governing body. The Board of Management is supported by the Secretariat Office comprising full-time executive staff led by the Executive Director. The Executive Director is appointed by the Board and reports to the Board for the operational management of Caritas MJD. The Executive Director is responsible for the welfare and management of the staff as well as for operating and managing the programmes and activities of Caritas MJD to achieve the objectives of CARITAS in the diocese. In Caritas MJD, there are different committees, each led by a board member who is supported by committed volunteers who serve as committee members. All committees work closely with the Secretariat Office that takes part in the decision-making and planning processes. 

Objective: To  coordinate activities and support  intra-parish formation and sharing of resources at the vicariate / district level within the area of integral human development.

Function :

1. To coordinate the activities of the different organisations / ministries / societies at the district level towards a continual involvement in Human Development and social awareness in serving the poor and doing justice.

2. To deepen the understanding of the vision, goals and objectives of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan with regards to Human Development within the Vicariate.

3. To facilitate intra-parish activities with support from Caritas MJD.

Structure :

 The Chairperson or the representative of each parish POHD and SSVP will make up the membership of each Caritas Vicariate coordinating team of Caritas MJD Office for Human Development.

1. The Chairperson of each Caritas Vicariate coordinating team will be by appointment from the Caritas MJD Board of Management.

2. The operating budget of the Caritas Vicariate coordinating team will be from Caritas MJD upon application.
